Throughout the years, I've been trying out different media in creating art. And I've realized that whatever I tried out, I always ended up with one of these pencils in my hand. I must say that I don't really enjoy working digitally. Well, with a big exception for pixel art.
Thing is, I'm not really a painter either. Painting is fun, but I don't find myself very good at it. Which left me there with boring black & white drawings for ages. But now, a bunch of Copic markers moved into my second drawer, and I've finally begun coloring my drawings. My tablet? Serves me when I'm doodling on MSN.
Right now, it's resting at the top of my archive box.
In a few months, it's time to apply for university or university college. But it's hard to find an art education that really fits me. The only school which has its focus on drawing is located on the other side of the country. And I don't feel like moving. So I'll apply to educations like art, design, advertising and computer game development. I hope my artistic skills won't be too narrow. I'm also thinking of history and Japanese (full time) at Stockholm University. Well, I'm sure it will turn out fine in some way.
I've been putting photos of the progress of my school art project in the scraps for sometime now. The sketch is now completely done (unlike my latest update shows) and I've begun inking. Next time I update will be once I'm finished. The deadline isn't until march, but there is a good chance I'll be done before the end of the month. Other than that, I have a few other drawings coming up as well.
Last but not least I want to recommend a group for any user of Copic markers out there. It's a very helpful group and me and a bunch of other members will answer your questions. Also have a look at the new contest!
